It wasn’t until I read “The Error Of Triclavianism” that I was certain that I was sure Objective Ministries was satire and not the real thing.

“that I was certain that I was sure” I’m very tired, I’m up late writing a report. I’d better get back to it.

I seriously can’t tell if that site is legit or not. Did anyone read the section on Dinosaurs?

I remember reading ( five or six years ago) their attack on Mac OSX for have a kernel called Darwin and thus promoting evolution. I can’t remember if they went as far as pointing out its BSD origins with a Daemon as its mascot (daemonic possession eh ?) . Anyway it took me a long time before I realized it was a spoof
I admit it is hard to tell. Which should tell you something. But the Baby Jesus Anti-Fornication Thong pretty much gives it away as satire.

I finally found it again ! The BSD reference in the Mac polemic:
ADDENDUM III (4/20/2002): Another reader (it has been busy today!) has informed me of another link between Apple and the forces of darkness that my initial research missed. Apparently the Darwin OS is not the original creation of Apple Computers but is instead based off of an older, obsolete OS called “BSD Unix”. The child-indoctrinatingly-cute cartoon mascot of this OS is a devil holding a pitchfork (pictured right). This OS — and its Darwin offspring — extensively use what are called “daemons” (which is how Pagans write “demon” — they are notoriously poor spellers: magick, vampyre, etc.) which is a program that hides in the background, doing things without the user’s notice. If you are using a new Macintosh running OS X then you probably have these “daemons” on your computer, hardly something a good Christian would want! This clearly illustrates that not only is Macintosh based on Darwinism, but Darwinism is based on Satanism.
Objective ministries is a very elaborate parody site. It was all the rage in /. when they denounced Apple for pushing an “evolutionary agenda” for naming their OS Darwin.
(And the Anti-Fornification thong does give it away.)

Sir, I learned general relativity from your book!

Related to humor, Sean- you must have heard of the new citcom, Big Bang Theory on CBS…a completely stereotypical depiction of some Caltech physics grads. I just heard of it today and watched the pilot online- I’m not a fan of citcoms but this was hilarious! It’s especially funny when there’s a physics related joke that’s actually quite funny but the background audience doesn’t get it and hence there’s only mild laughter. Anyways, what’s your take on it? http://www.cbs.com/innertube/player.php?cat=160179&vid=163220&format=&auto=1
twaters, a friend of mine is the science consultant for the Big Bang Theory. The stereotyping is pretty severe, but otherwise the show is not bad. And I’m told that it actually gets better over the next few episodes.
