Friday random poetry

Lauren, keeper of the Friday Random Ten (or is it Roxanne? I can never remember), has hit upon a new bit of randomness on which to end your week: Rob’s Amazing Poem Generator. This poem came from the post on What people should know, comments included. I edited it slightly, for which I make no apologies.

  1. I wonder if the design of Rob’s Amazing Poem Generator was based, in part, on Paul Dirac’s amusing comment:

“In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it’s the exact opposite.”

  2. More fun with randomness —a random slogan generator! Though often nonsensical, some of the phrases were spot on. For example, I entered the word “fun” and received…”Don’t Be Vague. Ask for Fun.”
And typing in “love” returned…”Every Kiss Begins With Love.” (aw!)
“Sex” gave me…”Life Should Taste As Good As Sex.” (Hmm, more risque than anticipated.)
    Then,”Athena” got back…”Aaahh, Athena!”

So then, howling with laughter, I selected some words from your blog for demonstration purposes, and got the following slogans (well, some editing required — those here were chosen for relevancy and humor):

    Say It With Cosmic Variance.
A Day Without Clifford is Like a Day Without Sunshine.
Make Someone Happy with a String Theory.
The Theoretical Physicist For All Ages.
Only Spacetime And Geometry Has The Answer.
Look For The Sean, JoAnne, Mark, Risa, And Clifford Label.

Okay, my morning run put me in a silly mood — sorry! : ) Try it!

  3. A Day Without Clifford is Like a Day Without Sunshine.

Now that is one excellent solgan generator you’ve found. I like it!…. 😉
